Interesting language An example of how to talk about your habits in the past;notice the use of the structures learnt and practised in class. When I was a kid of about ten years old I used to go to the park with my friends and we used to play on the swings. I used to hateplaying hide-and-seek because I used to lose. My sister would play with her dolls at home, or when she came to the park she used to skip rope with her friends. I used to ride my bike to go to school. OnceI had an accident, but it was not serious. In the summer I used to spend my holidays with my grandparents in my home town and my cousins used to come and visit us. I didn’t use to read a lot, I wouldwatch television all the time if it was raining, or I used to go the river and go swimming with my friends. My friends and I used to play scary games in the dark. I used to be afraid of monsters so Ididn’t use to have fun those days. My best friend used to be Artie. He used to come round for tea and my grandmother would make the best cheese sandwiches for us. Now he’s not my friend any more. Hereyou can find some links about some childhood memories:
