Before it belonged to the U.S., Alaska was from Russia.The capital of the U.S. is Washington D.C. which is a federal district. California is also avery important state and its capital is Sacramento.

There was one state that mentioned in a very special way a very important person from England .Virginia was named in honor of Queen Elizabethbecause she was known as the Virgin Queen. Louisiana was sold to the U.S. by Napoleon and New York is known as the Empire State. Europeans established the first town in St. Augustine in Colorado,found by 1,500 Spanish colonists in 1565 . Mount Mckinley is the highest mountain in the U.S . and we can visit it in Alaska.
