GRAMMAR
Present simple and Present Continuous
We use the Present Simple to describe habits and states. With the Present simple often use expressions such as sometimes, usually, never, every morning and once a week. -I do my homework every day.
We usethe Present Continuous to describe actions that are developing as they speak.
-I ‘m doing my homework now.
Also used to describe plans for the future.
-I’m having lunch with my cousins tomorrow.
Often include words such as: now, at the moment and today.

Past Simple and Past Continuous
We use the Past Simple to describe actions to be completed in the past. Those phrases often includeterms that specify the time for action.
-I studied yesterday/ I didn’t finish the dinner/Did you go to the cinema?
We use the Past Continuous to describe actions that were being developed in the past. – I was studying the exam/ Iwasn’t studying the exam/ Was I studying theexam? We use the Past Simple and the Past Continuous together to indicate an action that interrupted another. While usually accompanies the past continuous and When usually accompanies the past simple. –While I waswatching TV, my mother phoned me. – When my boyfriend called me, I was doing my homework.

Past Perfect and Past Simple We use the Past Perfect to indicate a last action was completed before to the occurrence of a newer, in the past too.Subj+had+V.Participle We use the Past Simple to describe actions to be completed in the past. Subj+V.Past Afterusually accompanies the Past Simple: He celebrated after he had finished the meal. Before usually accompanies the Past Perfect: I’d already eaten before we went to the restaurant.

Present Perfect and Past SimpleWe use the Past Simple to describe actions to be completed in the past. Subj+V.Past -She caught the train at three o’clock. We use the Present Perfect describes eventsthat began in the past and continue in this. Subj+Have/has+V.Participle -I’ve had this mountain bike for two years.

Present Perfect simple and continuous
The Present Perfect Simple indicates that an action has beencompleted.
Subj+Have/Has+V.participle
-I’ve read this brilliant book.
The Present Perfect Continuous indicates that an action has not yet been completed and can continue. Subj+Have/Has+ been+ V.ing -I’ve been waiting for ages....
