It is the phenomenon of the increase in temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and oceans in recent decades. Air pollutants accumulate in the atmosphere to form an increasingly thicklayer, trapping the sun's heat and causing global warming.
The main pollutants are carbon dioxide (generated by power generation plants based on coal) and carbon dioxide CO2 (emitted by cars).The countries that pollute more are: the United States. China, India and Japan.
Global warming is causing irreparable consequences:
-The melting of glaciers;
-More severe droughts causingwater shortages;
-Deforestation increases or raises deserts;
-Hurricanes, cyclones, global warming makes more water evaporates from the oceans enhancing these types of disasters;
-Therise in sea levels will produce coastal flooding;
-The disturbance of habitats such as coral reefs and forests could lead to extinction many species of plants and animals caused changes in theecosystem.
-Heat waves that kill the elderly and children, especially in Europe;
-Forests, fields and cities face new pest problems and more mosquito-borne diseases.
How to avoid:
- Reducingpollution from vehicles using catalytic converters in exhaust;
-Use the most natural lighting within the home environments;
-Use low lighting;
-Reduce use of fossil fuels (oil, diesel, kerosene,naphtha) and increased use of biofuels (biodiesel, ethanol)
-Installation of emission control of harmful gases in industry.
-Expand power generation through clean, renewable sources: hydro, wind,solar, nuclear and tidal;
-Work with the system of selective collection of garbage and recycling;
-No practice or burn deforestation. To plant more trees to help reduce global warming.
-Use ofclean and advanced techniques in agriculture to prevent the emission of carbon.
-Construction of buildings with the introduction of systems that seek to save energy (use of solar energy for water...
