RESUMEN EJECUTIVO

En el presente trabajo se describirán los distintos tipos de estructuras necesarias para el diseño de
obras de drenaje transversal a lo largo de diferentes obras lineales, como así también los
fundamentos teóricos que sirven de base para el cálculo y diseño de dichas estructuras.
La presencia de depresiones, cursos de agua o accidentestopográficos, incorporan condiciones
especiales y particulares a un canal, de manera que será necesario considerar estructuras
complementarias, que permitan superar estos obstáculos.
Actualmente existe el reto nacional de lograr la economía de agua en las redes de riego, ya que
numerosas redes peruanas sufren una baja eficiencia en la utilización del agua disponible. Para
lograrlo la A.N.A. hainiciado un programa de modernización de los distritos de riego de la República
Peruana, lo que implica la introducción de nuevas tecnologías, por lo cual se necesita la capacitación
de los ingenieros y técnicos encargados con el diseño, la construcción y la operación de los sistemas
de riego.
Es importante resaltar que en el estudio de la materia, se deberá tener siempre presente, que laaplicación de las técnicas que se presentan a lo largo del curso, deberán tomar en cuenta las
condiciones físicas, económicas y sociales que varían de un proyecto a otro, y que siempre se deberá
de buscar todas aquellas posibles soluciones, para proponer y desarrollar a nivel de proyecto
ejecutivo la solución óptima, basándose en un análisis técnico-económico y fundamentada en las
condicionessocio-económicas que lleven al éxito su ejecución.

Se desarrollará cada estructura en particular, describiendo su función, características particulares y
su procedimiento de cálculo.
