HISTORY OF JAPAN

Japan was founded in the seventh century .C. by Emperor Jimmu. The emperors were official leaders, but the real power remained hands of the shoguns.
 The influence of theoutside world followed by long periods of isolation has characterized its history. Since they adopted the constitution in 1947, the government has been a constitutional monarchy with an emperor and aparliament.

In the early seventeenth century, the shogunate suspected of Christian missions, considering forerunners of a military conquest by European forces as protection, Japan ordered the closure ofall relations with the outside world. It lasted 251 years, until 1854, when U.S. Commodore Matthew Perry forced the opening of Japan to the West under the Treaty of Kanagawa.


CULTURE

Theculture of Japan is the result of a historical process that begins with the immigration waves originating from the continent of Asia and Pacific Ocean islands , followed by a strong cultural influence fromChina and then a long period of isolation from the rest the world.
In Japan, personal relationships are heavily influenced by the ideas of "honor", "obligation" and "duty", known as giri.


TheJapanese have a sense of humor intricate and complicated, reflected much in the language, culture, religion and ethics, and is sometimes considered to be very difficult to interpret for other cultures.Wearing

In Japan you can find two types of clothing: the traditional and the modern. In the traditional costume highlights the kimono. Kimono sleeves differentiates women married andunmarried.





Other garments worn by the Japanese are the yukata, a light summer kimono, hakama, a ceremonial garment, the jinbei, male garment lightly used as pajamas and jūnihitoe, a female garmentlike a kimono.


With regard to modern Japanese costume, there are some trends as ganguro, which is characterized by female fashion designer wear, tanned skin and excessive use of accessories....
