1. BEFORE YOU START
Before running Mega on your PC, make sure that:
The computer, monitor and CD-ROM drive meet the minimum system requirements as shownbelow.
The computer and monitor are both switched on.
Headphones or speakers are connected to the computer and the volume is adjusted to a suitable level.
The Mega CD-ROM is placed in theCD-ROM drive, printed side up.
No other programs, such as word processors or spreadsheets, are running.
The Windows screen saver feature is switched off.
2. MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTSThese are the minimum specifications required for a PC to run the Mega CD-ROM:
Windows 98, ME, NT4.0, 2000 or XP operating system.
QuickTime 6.0 or higher installed.
Intel Pentiumprocessor - minimum speed 233 MHz.
128 MB RAM minimum.
CD-ROM drive (12x or faster).
SVGA color monitor capable of supporting 800 x 600 resolution at 16-bit.
Graphics card
SoundBlaster compatible soundcard.
Mouse.
Headphones or Speakers.
Microphones for recording activities
3. RUNNING THE MEGA CD-ROM
Mega is designed to start automatically when youput the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. If it does not, follow these instructions:
1. Check that the CD-ROM is in the CD-ROM drive, printed side up.
2. Double-click on the "My Computer" icon on thecomputer's desktop.
3. Find the Mega CD-ROM icon in the list and double-click on it. Mega will now start up.
4. TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS
Problem: Disk will not run.
Possible cause: There isnot enough memory available.
Solution: Make sure no other programs are running. For optimum performance, quit any programs that are running before starting the Mega CD-ROM.
