latinoamericanas contemporáneas

En los últimos años hemos asistido al florecimiento de
una literatura escrita por mujeres latinoamericanas cuyo
objetivo es explorar el tratamiento de la identidad
femenina y todas aquellas cuestiones relacionadas con eltema.

Esta literatura, de claro carácter feminista, ha

permitido que se disemine ampliamente la voz de la mujer,
la cual, por siglos, había sido confinada al ámbito
doméstico.

Este proyecto de investigación pretende

analizar el tratamiento de la identidad femenina en tres
novelas representativas, Maldito amor (1986) de la
puertorriqueña, Rosario Ferré; Arráncame la vida (1986) dela mexicana, Ángeles Mastretta; y Jugo de mango (1988) de
la argentina, Angélica Gorodischer.

La idea fundamental

del trabajo es demostrar la relación entre la identidad
femenina y el discurso político en las tres obras.

En este

doble contexto tiene lugar la reivindicación de la
identidad de la mujer, un desafío a la autoridad directa
del hogar e indirecta del gobierno.ABSTRACT

In the last decades we have witnessed the flourishing
of a literature written by Latin American women whose
objective is to explore the treatment of feminine identity
and all of the concerns related to the topic.

Thisliterature, of a clearly feminist character, has allowed
the widespread dissemination of the feminine voice, which
for centuries had been confined to the domestic sphere.
This research project attempts to analyze the treatment of
feminine identity in three representative novels, Maldito
amor (1986) by the Puerto Rican Rosario Ferré; Arráncame la
vida (1986) by the Mexican Ángeles Mastretta;and Jugo de
mango (1988) by the Argentinean Angélica Gorodischer.
fundamental idea of this thesis is to demonstrate the
relationship between feminine identity and political
discourse in these three works.

The vindication of

The

feminine identity arises in this double context as a
challenge to the direct authority of the home and the
indirect authority of the government.
