This report will present information about a Holiday called Labor Day. The report will present the origins of the Holiday as to who created the holiday,what the holiday entails, when the holiday is celebrated and the reason why Americans celebrate the Holiday. Finally, the report will provide a briefconclusion regarding the importance of the Holiday.
 
 
Labor Day was created by the Central Labor Union, who adopted a Labor Day proposal and appointed acommittee to plan a demonstration and picnic. Labor day is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements ofAmerican workers. The holiday is currently celebrated the first Monday of every September. The first holiday was celebrated on September 5th of 1882 in New YorkCity. Afterwards the legislature adopted and passed Labor Day as a national holiday. The reason why Americans celebrate Labor Day is to give a yearly nationaltribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity and well-being of America.
 
 
To conclude, the national Holiday of Labor Daywas created to honor all of the American workers who every day demonstrate the respect and care that they have for their country and for their families byworking long hours 20 and by doing hard labor. The United States of America wanted all American workers to know that its country appreciate all of theirhard work and that, at least, once a year, they have a holiday that honors them and that wants them to relax and enjoy time with their respective families.
