INTRODUCTION:1
What is a heart?
It is an organ that helps the blood to have oxygen all over the body. It is located in the left part of the chest, between the lungs. Once that the un-oxygenated blood was converted to oxygenated blood it is pumped away through the aorta and returns back to the heart again throughthe cava vein.
The heart it is composed of cardiac muscle which it allows the synchronization of the heart beat. -1
What are blood vessels?
They are organs that have channels of hollow tubes having the function of transporting blood all over the body.
There are 3 types of blood vessels which are the arteries, veins and capillaries.
The function of the arteries is transporting blood awayfrom the heart, the function of the veins is to transport blood to the heart, and the capillaries help the transportation from the arteries to the veins. -2

OBJETIVE: 2
The purpose of opening a lamb’s heart is to get to know more about the circulatory system, to know about parts of aperson’s heart like the veins, ventricles, articles, cava vein, atrium, aorta, septum and pulmonary vein. Also to know more about a person’s heart, its structure and function, even though a person´s heart is not exactly the same as a lamb’s heart, it is very alike.

PROCEDURE:
First of all, a dissection heart of a lamb diagram was made by the student using the procedure, after a while the equipmenthad to be washed and cleaned by the students, next they had to wash and cut the peritoneum very carefully of the lamb’s heart with scissors, making sure they would not cut veins and articles.
After the students had to pat dry the heart and put it on the dissection tray, they made sure they put the convex side facing them up, and the flat side down.
Afterward they had to use the pre-lab diagramand identify the arteries and veins in the lamb’s heart; forward they had to insert straws with the name of veins and arteries in the heart.
Then they had to cut the lamb’s heart from the top through the aorta to the bottom, in 3 different ways so they could see the inner part of the lamb’s heart, and could identify the atriums, ventricles, atrioventricular valves and muscular wall.
Set it inthe dissection tray
Cut the fat away with scissors
Wash the heart
Cleaned the
equipment

Insert the straws in arteries and veins
Identify the parts of the heart
Cut the heart from top to the bottom
The convex side of the lamb’s heart facing you

Identify the internal parts of the heart

RESULTS:3
Before all, the students had to do a diagram of the dissection lamb heart so they could use it at the laboratory taking the notes from the instructions of the sheet..
At the beginning at the lab, the students got to receive one lamb’s heart per pair; they had to clean the equipment and started by cutting away all the fat till they got to see the aorta and the...
