Can I identify if the painting is a baroque painting only by seeing its characteristics?Action plan:
I will write some baroque painting characteristics, and then, I’m going to search those characteristics that I find in the picture.

- The light draws or blurs the contours:
The light becomes a key element in Baroque painting. The light draws or blurred outlines, defines also the environment, the atmosphere ofthe picture, the colors and sprinkles.
- Depth on the picture:
With color can influence the space, making our mind see objects larger and smaller, nearby or distant, to see depth where there isnone or a composition unlike appear flat with no space, this is what Diego Velázquez introduce in Las Meninas picture.
Comment of the picture I have chosen:
Las Meninas was painted in XIX century;nowadays this famous picture is in the Prado museum (Spain). This picture belongs to the baroque style. Although Velazquez is the best representative of Spanish Baroque painting, there are grounds forclaiming that was innovative (not necessarily modernist) in his time, gave great weight to the composition, search depth, get aerial perspective, light management
