A raíz de los nuevos tratados comerciales como el de Estados Unidos y Canadá, y el de Europa y Corea que viene en camino, la Semana de laModa de Colombia espera generar oportunidades de negocios por más de US$95 millones para los expositores del Sistema Moda en Latinoamérica. Venimos trabajando muy fuerte de la mano de Proexport por tener un área comercial sólida, muestra de ello es la asistencia de 450 expositores nacionales e internacionales, 9.500 compradores, destacando 1500 internacionales y más de 60.000 asistentes entrepasarelas, exhibición comercial y Pabellón del Conocimiento. En nuestro eje de tendencias, tenemos 29 pasarelas inéditas Primavera-Verano 2013 de 19 importantes diseñadores, 11 marcas comerciales y 3 escuelas de moda. La gran novedad será el desfile inaugural a cargo de Lina Cantillo, por primera vez Colombiamoda abre con una pasarela de moda masculina. Además, en Inexmoda logramos una alianza con laCFDA - Council of Fashion Designers of America- lo que nos permitió tener a Cristian Cota como la cuota internacional de las pasarelas, único diseñador mexicano que tiene el privilegio de presentar sus diseños en la semana de la moda de Nueva York. En el Pabellón del Conocimiento Inexmoda-UPB, nuestro eje de conocimiento y formación, contaremos con importantes expertos nacionales e internacionalesque hablarán sobre el Sistema Moda y sus temáticas en 24 conferencias gratuitas. Building a Fashion System

Botero CEO, Inexmoda For the twenty-third edition of Colombiamoda,we have as its theme hub: Fashion System, with which we seek to emphasize the importance of integrating architecture, visual and plastic arts, music, cosmetics, religion, politics, literature, decoration, food, and, of course, clothing, to jointly create services, activities, and initiatives that lead to strengthening Latin-American fashion. According to this and to the needs of the textile,clothing, and fashion sector that is becoming increasingly more demanding, Colombiamoda 2012 comes back with three areas: Trade Fair, trend runway shows, and knowledge and training. For this new edition, we will have a completely strengthened fair with new proposals which will meet the expectations of visitors, buyers, investors, journalists, and students who live Colombiamoda, the Fashion Week inColombia. As a result of new trade agreements such as those with the United States and Canada, and the ones with the European Union and Korea that are on the way, Colombia’s Fashion Week expects to generate business opportunities worth over US$ 95 million for the exhibitors of the Fashion System in Latin America. We have been working very hard hand in hand with Proexport in order to have a solidcommercial area. Proof of this is the participation of 450 national and international exhibitors, 9,500 buyers, highlighting 1500 international buyers, and over 60,000 attendees among runway shows, the trade show and the Knowledge Pavillion. In our trends hub, we have over 29 unprecedented Spring-Summer-2013 runway shows by major national designers, brands, young talent, and fashion schools. The bignews is the inaugural parade by Lina Cantillo. For the first time, Colombiamoda opens with a male fashion show. Furthermore, in Inexmoda, we managed to establish a partnership with the CFDA – the Council of Fashion Designers of America, allowing us to have Cristian Cota as the international quota of the runway shows.
