In the 2010 census, Latinos reached to be16.4% of the population in the United States with 50,729,570 Latinos. Mexicans are the largest Latino population living in theUnited States at a 64.9% that is about 32,915,983 Mexicans. The second largest Latino’s ethnicity are Puerto Ricans with a population of 4,682,531, they form 9.2% of the Latino population in theUnited States. Cubans are the third largest Latino ethnicity at 3.7% with 1,883,599 individuals in the United States.
There is a percent of Latinos living in every part of the United States, including inAlaska and Hawaii. Following are some of the states and cities with the highest Latino populations. California has 37.7% (14,091,992) of Latinos in the state, with the most Latino individuals than anyother state. The city of Denver has the largest Latino population in the state of Colorado. New Mexico has the largest percent of Latinos in the state with 46.5% of Latino population, with 959,854individuals. Albuquerque is the city with the highest population of Latinos in New Mexico. Georgia has 856,417 Latinos that is 8.8% of the state population and Atlanta is the city with the highestLatino population in the state. Oregon it is in the 19th position with 452,128 Latinos living in the state with 11.8% Latinos of the state population and Portland is the city with the highest Latinopopulation in Oregon.
