LOOKING FOR PARADISE

Roberto was a 20 years old gardener who lived in Brazil. He lived was in a favela with his brother Luis .Roberto had a hard life, his dad left him when he was a newborn, andhis mother had been killed by a drug dealer when he was 6 years old. Roberto was corpulent and he liked to play rugby.

A normal day, on 26 of august of 1996 to be precise, Roberto woke up to takethe bus and go to work at 7:00 am. He worked at Mr. Frederic’s house as a gardener and guard. Mr. Frederic was a millionaire who worked as a lawyer; he was a reserved man who didn’t want to have anykind of relationship with his workers. One day when Roberto was cutting the backyard grass, he heard Mr. Frederic daughter screaming. Roberto rushed into the house and found that Agustina was beingbeaten by 3 enormous guys that wanted to kidnap her. Roberto dashed at the attackers and started fighting them. As Roberto was an imposing man, these 3 men rushed to the door and escaped. Agustina waslying on the floor all covered of blood, Roberto asked her why was she being beaten up, for what she answered that she had had problems with them as they were workers who were trying to get a raise ofsalary, but wouldn’t get it, thats why, they resorted to kidnap her. She was surprised that Roberto rescued her, so she asked him, what she could do for him. Roberto answered: ask your dad if he can giveme a better work. When Mr. Frederic arrived home, he saw Agustina crying. When he finished listening to the story he went to talk to Roberto and asked him: what can I do for you? Roberto answered: Iwant to ask you for a better work. Mr. Frederic gave Roberto a job as a secretary in his office. Now Roberto earned plenty of money, moved out of the favelas .
