Los Comparativos Y Superlativos
Los adjectivos son palabras que nombran o indican cualidades, rasgos y propiedades de los nombres o sustantivos que los acompañan:example Long –Hair
Como ves, en ingles los adjetivos normalmente van delante del sustantivo: Example ugly: Dog
En inglés cuando comparamos dos cosas usamos los adjetivos y sus tres grados: positivo,comparativo y superlativo. Al igual que en español, cuando queremos hacer comparaciones contrastamos cualidades o atributos por medio de adjetivos en sus diversos grados.

Hay unas reglaspara formar el comparativo y superlativo.
1. Para adjetivos de una sílaba:
Comparativo | Superlativo |
añade: "-er" (faster) | añade: "-est" (fastest) |
Adjetivos de 1 sílaba | Comparativo--->adj + er | Superlativo ---> adj + est |
small - pequeño | smaller - más pequeño | (the) smallest |
tall - alto | taller - más alto | (the) tallest |
young - joven | younger - más joven |(the) youngest |
long - largo | longer - más largo | (the) longest |
big - grande | bigger - más grande | (the) biggest |
fat - gordo | fatter - más gordo | (the) fattest |
2. Paraadjetivos de una sílaba que terminan en "e":
Comparativo | Superlativo |
añade: "-r" (nicer) | añade: "-st" (nicest) |
3. Para adjetivos de una sílaba que terminan en consonante + vocal +constanante:
Comparativo | Superlativo |
añade: consonante+ "erhotter) | añade: consonante + "-est"hottest) |
4. Para adjetivos de dos silabas que terminan en "y":
Comparativo | Superlativo |sustituye "y" por: "-ier" (funnier) | sustituye "y" por: "-iest" (funniest) |
2 sílabas terminados en (ly) | Comparativo ---> adj + ier | Superlativo ---> adj + iest |
lazy - perezoso, vago |lazier - más vago | the laziest |
funny - gracioso, divertido | funnier - más divertido | the funniest |
happy - feliz, alegre | happier - más feliz | the happiest |
