PLANE OF VESSELS
On the ship we can place three planes of reference and a series of lines, each acting as axes for positioning with respect to them any part of the ship, and other auxiliary functions.
Transverse Plane
Also known as YZ plane. Vertical plane that is perpendicular tothe diametric planes and base. Is drawn perpendicular to the average or the perpendicular. Divided longitudinally into two equal halves boat.
The transverse plane is called the master frame, andits intersection with the centerline (thus coinciding with the mean perpendicular) is called, by extension, the master frame "ø".
On the transverse plane can distinguish the reference linefollowing:
Center line (LC), which is the line resulting from the intersection of the diametric plane with the transverse plane. Acts as axis of symmetry of the boat, on which the coordinatesare measured transverse bands of starboard and port. Another name given is center line.
Horizontal plane
Also known as the XY plane. Is one horizontal plane running through the bottom of the keel, thus parallel to the surface of the sea? In the event that the keel of the vessel is built with a slope, it wills usually the lowers point of the keel to draw the base plane. Said horizontal planecontaining the baseline.
MATERIALS
The only way to keep track of materials used is to separate and group each day for the tasks required, or knowing the supplies held in storage before starting aparticular task and precedent an inventory at the end of construction period hull. Obviously, if you build more than one vessel while the first method will be best.
If materials are separated by...
