Margot Kidder
She appeared in a wide range of films during the 1970s and 1980s such as Sisters, Black Christmas, The Great Waldo Pepper, The Amityville Horror and Heartaches. She is best knownfor her role as Lois Lane in four Superman movies opposite Christopher Reeve, beginning with Superman in 1978. In 1996, when she was going to start writing her autobiography, she started to becomeparanoid, coming to think that her husband wanted to kill her.
Since her childhood, she wanted to be an actress. When she was a child, she began to have bipolar disorder, that's why she attemptedsuicide several times. Despite these problems, she showed interest in the performing of arts. When she was in school she performed several plays with great success.
Looking for new expectations she movedto Los Angeles after graduating from school to start her career. After meeting a Canadian talent agent she got her first job in the movie "Gaily, Gaily", 1969 and then she participated in "Fortune Hasa Cousin Quackser in the Bronx", in 1970.
Later on, she went to New York to study acting. Then she returned to Hollywood where she met Martin Scorsese, Brian De Palma, Steven Spielberg, SusanSarandon, among others. Thus, De Palma cast her in the film "Sisters" in 1973.
