Over the centuries Belgium had suffered many brutal incidents, involving many wars and dispute. During the 16th century frencharmy invaded Belgium and annexed it to France, but in the 17th century Napoleon was deafeted at Water Loo, and Belgium became part Holland. During the reign of Leopold II, he took control of an areacalled Belgian Congo until 1960. Belgium through out the second world war suffered badly because of the nazi invasion in the 1914. Belgium resisted valiantly, but half of the country was overrun andcontrol of the nazi. In 1940 Germany invaded again, and took control for 2 years, until Belgium’s allies came to the rescue, but the country had suffered a lot and it took them 1 years to recover. Afterthe parliamentary elections on 2003, Belgiu stood peacefully, and haven’t had any conflicto with the other countries, but now their having internal issue, between two social groups.

Western Eurpe consist mostly in a variety of country such as Belgium, France and the Netherland, Belgium borders the sea between France and the Netherland. It has an area of 30,528 sq km. It has66.5 km of coastline. Belgium has mild Winter, cool summer, and a rainy humid climate. Its terrain mostly consist of plains in the northwest, rugged mountains in the southeast and rolling hills in thecenter of the country. Some natural resources found are construction material, and silica sand.
Belgium is a federal parliamentary democracy with two regions. The french region and the Germanregion. Its constitutuion was drafted the 25 of november 1830, one month later after their Independence. It have a legal system with civil laws that are change constantly, beacause of the dispute betweenthe two social groups, the flemings and the wallons. Its chief of state is King Albert II since 9th of august of 1993.
