Parque Explora Aquarium
Come and visit the largestfresh-water aquarium in all of South America
Immerse yourself in this one-of-a-kind place that recreates the natural habitats of more than 400 different species.

Aquariums brimming with life as their finned inhabitants maneuver around the different obstacles of these underwater jungles. 
For a few years now, visitors have been able to discover the wonders of fresh- and saltwater marine lifein the aquarium at theParque Explora in Medellín. The park, with its 25 different types of tanks, showcases more than 4,000 colorful and diverse marine animals.
Travel to the depths of the oceans and along fast-moving Colombian rivers, where you will be able to find piranhas with razor sharp teeth, electric eels, and the fish that is considered the fresh-water king:  the Pirarucú, which canmeasure a whopping 4 meters long and weigh up to 300 kilos.

Nutibara Hill and Pueblito Paisa
A local place to find out more about Antioquian traditions.
The towering Nutibara hill, located in the heart of Medellín, constitutes the perfect sightseeing spot of the city, and built atop a hill where visitors can find a replica of an Antioquian town from days of yore.

This traditional place enchants its visitors with the simplicity, yet greatness, of Antioquian culture. 
When you reach the top of the Nutibara Hill, you will find yourself traveling back in time to a place where large whitewashed houses decorated with colorful doors prominently stood out in the town plaza.  This is the Pueblito Paisa.
Traditional Paisa values seep out from everyone of the buildings located in this replica of a town from days of old. A large water fountain stands majestically in the central square, while the mayor’s office, a barber shop, and, of course, a church make up the rest of the town’s plaza.

Observe the wonders of the sky through a mirror made of water, make a wish on a shootingstar, and do many more magical things at this fascinating park.
Solar and water attractions
This magnificent urban park, located in the northern quarter of the city, has nine mind-boggling attractions where children, teenagers, and adults alike will be able to learn more about the universe and the solar system. Additional to these “out-of-this-world” attractions, visitors will be able to learnabout different aspects related to day-to-day life such as the use of water, energy, and telecommunications.
This is the perfect park for a family day out, where everyone can partake in a plethora of activities, all free of charge.
Earth, wind, and sky attractions

Start your journey around this out-of-this-world park by checking out the time in the huge solar clock, or seeing how your voicetravels by using the acoustic shells.
Visitors can look at how the sun interacts with planets such as Mercury, Venus, Mars, and the Earth by using the Heliostat (specially designed mirrors) located in the park. At this same attraction, visitors can learn more about the different types of eclipses, which is when the moon blocks the sun.
