Veracidad de las respuestas en las evaluaciones psicológicas de los postulantes al Residentado Médico

RESUMEN
Objetivo. Conocer el grado de veracidad de las respuestas en lasevaluaciones psicológicas tomadas a los postulantes al Residentado Médico. Material y Métodos. En el primer trimestre del 2006 se aplicó la prueba Mini-Mult 82 a 164 postulantes a la residencia (el 53,6% del total) de la Facultad de Medicina Alberto Hurtado de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia de Lima. Comparamos los resultados con los obtenidos hace siete años así como con las variables lugar deprocedencia, género, especialidad a la que postularon y si ingresaron o no a la residencia. Resultados. En el 43,7% de los postulantes, sea por negar alteraciones o por manifestar falsos positivos, se obtuvo una baja fiabilidad. Al ser comparados con quienes obtuvieron buena fiabilidad, mostraron menos rasgos psicopatológicos en la mayoría de las escalas de la prueba. Esta baja fiabilidad también fueencontrada por otros investigadores al aplicarles el Inventario Cociente Emocional (ICE) y el Inventario Clínico Multiaxial de Millon-II (Millon) a estos mismos postulantes: 54,9% en el ICE y 75,8% en el Millon. Al unir las escalas de fiabilidad de las tres pruebas, solo el 6,1% de los postulantes que respondieron fue veraz. El rasgo psicopatológico más frecuente fue el de Desviación Psicopática(57,3%). Las variables analizadas no fueron discriminantes. Conclusiones. Casi la mitad de los postulantes no fueron veraces por lo que la menor frecuencia de psicopatología hallada respecto de los anteriormente evaluados no puede ser considerada como significativa. Esta baja veracidad respondería a la necesidad de competir por un puesto o en su defecto a cierto cinismo del postulante. Se sugiereemplear pruebas proyectivas en la evaluación por ser más difíciles de generar respuestas falsas. SUMMARY
Objectives. To know the degree of veracity of the answers in the psychological tests taken to the applicants to the medical residency. Material and methods. In the first trimester of 2006,the Mini-Mult 82 test was applied to 164 medical residence’s applicants (53,6% of all) to the Faculty of Medicine Alberto Hurtado, Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Lima. We contrasted the results with those ones that were obtained seven years ago and with the variables origin, gender, applied medical specialty and admittance or no to the residency. Results. 43,7% of the evaluated, due toeither denying alterations or to positive faking, obtained a score of fair veracity. testscales. The same veracity level has been obtained by other researchers applying the Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-I) and the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-II (Millon) to the same applicants. 54,9% in the EQ-I and 75,8% in the Millon. When joining the results of all three tests, only 6,1% of all tested showed good veracity. The most frequent psychopathological feature wasPsychopathic Deviation (57,3%).
