Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was an Indian revolutionary activist. He was a political leaderthat fought for the Indian rights, his method for obtaining political goals was to promote nonviolence resistance. “Gandhiji  'Mahatma' “ (great soul) as he was called by the Indian people decided towork to end racial prejudice.
Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869 in Porbandar, India. He became from a family with a higher position. His father was Karamchand Gandhi prime minister to the raja (isthe name given to the period of British colonial rule in South Asia between 1858 and 1947. Gandhi had a calm childhood; he was a small and quiet boy.
