This article is about Christmas in PR. Are celebrates deferent the other places, the celebration are traditions which are religion and costume. The aguinaldo which are Christmas carols, holidaymassed parandas, and typical dishes, are a very important part of the celebration. Christmas are longer than usual Christmas is not only Santa Claus the celebration of the Three Kings January 6, is thatfar most important celebration on the Island. The family and friends get together and go to different places. To take part of the festivities such as parandas, eating the typical holiday dishes whichare roast pork, rice, pastels and morcillas (blood sausage) and beverages.


Christmas in P.R. are longer and last utill the “Octavitas”, mid January the celebration of Christmas in P.R.last longer than usual, they start before December 25th. The celebration in P.R. are very different that other places, the up roar parranda are past generation beliefs on Christmas the religionbeliefs is not manlly the birth of Jesus December 25, the Three Kings day January 6th. This day the kids put grass for the camels to eat so that three kings leave gifts for the kids. These gifts are moreabundant than does of December 25, Christmas day. The families enjoy these wonderful moment knowing that their kids are having a wonderful time on this tradition do Three Kings Day.
The foods suchrosted pork, morcillas are the foods they best enjoy eating. Most people raise their own pigs, so that they can roast them and enjoy doing so. They enjoy this tradition because in everyday livingare not very common before this day during this traditional religious belief, they celebrate the Misa de Gallo (Rooster’s Mass), and sing Christmas carols on the street, friends house’s Capital House.The people adorn their houses with flashing lights and ornaments so that they can enjoy the decoration.
