Before the Internet existed recorded music was available only on physical media such as a tapes or CDs. Now most music can be downloaded electronically asdigital files. This makes it easier for listeners to music, but it also makes it more difficult for the artists to be paid for their work. I think music is auniversal thing like love, and you can't put a price tag on that.

The music industry does like to insist that downloading music without paying is killingthe music industry, but in my opinion, all the people should download all the things that Internet offers, without limits. On the one hand, when you downloada song or album, you do not take anything away from anyone; that copy of a song or album does not disappear. The music industry persists in saying thatevery download is a lost sale but it can't be true, the artists would still get paid every time you make a download.

On the other hand, people haven’t aninfinite amount of money, for this reason, they believe that downloading free music has been one of the best inventions that have been created, because lets youlisten to songs from different artists as well, without having to pay a lot of money to buy a CD.

In conclusion, I get the feeling that the recordingindustry hasn't completely given up on the idea of stopping file-sharers yet. Until it is, I refuse to feel guilty for downloading and sharing music, every timeI listen to a song, or share it with a friend. I don't see why people have to make such a big problem of this statement; it’s an art and it needs exposure.
