INTRODUCCION
“En nuestra América ha habido producción filosófica significativa. Nuestros pensadores han asimilado estructuras depensamiento no sólo de Europa, también de Asia y otras culturas.
Nuestros pensadores han sido, ante todo, reflexivos de las circunstancias que han vivido. Han utilizado los instrumentos propios de la filosofía para tratar de transformar esas circunstancias. No fueron pensadores de gabinete. En el mundo latinoamericano, es claro que nuestros escolásticos hicieron una seria reflexiónantropológica porque necesitaron determinar la condición humana de los aborígenes, que era un problema práctico de gran envergadura. También fue obligatorio que hubiera reflexiones en torno a la naturaleza. El ‘nuevo mundo’ era terreno de utopías, donde todo parecía posible.
