Yes, there wasclearly a major difference with the two companies’ organizational cultures. Apple’s organizational culture was focused on competition within the company, against the employees working on the MacintoshVs. the employees on the Apple 2 computer. This was made by Steve Jobs with the thought that with the competition a better product will result. With Microsoft, the organizational culture was more“generic” in my opinion. Microsoft had a strong leader, Bill Gates, supported with competent followers. The reason I believe that Apple’s organizational culture disrupt the company is that thecompetition developed within the company was not friendly competition. Steve Jobs did not make his employees feel important with the competition, but he made the employees tense with his put-downs to make themdo better.

Describe the different strategic leadership styles of the CEOs for Apple and Microsoft.
The styles of the CEOs in Apple and Microsoft differ from each other. Each has their own fortein the field of technology and business. Each CEO leadership style also has their disadvantages in these areas. The CEO of Apple has a very strong personality; he has charisma which has let him“sell” his products along with his friend Woz. The perspective Steve Jobs saw things was different from what other people see, with this insight and his charisma he paved the way to the success of Apple. TheCEO of Microsoft, Bill Gates, was very smart with his decision-making. Bill Gates led his people to the end goal with encouragement and kindness. He made everything clear to his partners on what hewas planning to do and how he was going to do it. The disadvantages of both sides really turned to Boss-Employee relationship with Steve Jobs and lack of assertiveness of Bill Gates.
