Families that use the same resources and share commonsetup usually have similar demands. Therefore if the purpose of this particular planning is to know how many labor and machine hours are required, it does not need to precise the exact number of items tobe produced.
Models that include too much data are complicated or too large to solve. In this stage of planning, it is unnecessary because we are searching for production and resource usage.
