Good morning, i am going to tell the history about Aung San Suu Kyi… She born on june 19, 1945 and was leading figure burmese opposition against the military dictatorship. His mother was an important diplomate and father general Aung San as assassinated when she was two year and is reconized as the fonder of modern Burma.
Educated in india and England at the university of oxford where hemarried a british citizen name Michael Aris. After graduating in oxford, I work in the Secretariat of the United Nations and was a teacher in India.
Suu returned to Burma in 1988 and participated in the "second combat for national independence". In the same year she co-founded the National League for Democracy (NLD).
His ideal of nonviolent appeased the continuing attempts by the military toobstruct free elections. He led the NLD to a landslide nationally, winning 80% of parliamentary seats. She was sentenced to house arrest in June 1989, and the military government refused permission for the elected Parliament to convene. He was awarded the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought in 1990 and the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991. Since July 1995, when his sentence was suspended, he could devote tothe restructuring of the NLD and traveled throughout the country, begging for change. the army was watching closely, each new discourse and each new journey was dangerous. suu but did not lose its value.
in early 1999 her husband was very ill because he had prostate cancer, she could not go visit to England because he knew that if he went the army would leave no return and then his struggle for ajust country would have been in vain. He loved her so much who understood his motives ... died in March when she felt very bad but that did not stop him keep fighting.
