Punta Del Este

2. - Punta Del Este is a citylocated in peninsular southern tip of Uruguay , in the department of Maldonado . Being one of the most important resorts of Latin America , one stands out as the major tourist destination of the country. Itis located on a narrow strip of land that separates the River the Atlantic Ocean.

3. - Its beaches are divided into la 'Mansa' west side, and 'la Brava' east side. The name given to these beachesis that the first, almost always its waters quite calm, plus the island Gorriti protects this beach from the wind, while the beach "Brava", the longer ocean waves has a lot more impetuous.

4. - Oneof the strongest points of the city is the Gorlero Avenue , the main street of the resort. Around this life born tourist avenue of Punta del Este and her are shopping malls, restaurants, cinemas,casinos, shops and many other attractions. The nerve center of the avenue is Plaza Artigas Gorlero, which develops the popular fair of artisans, in its many stands you can see and buy handicrafts inleather, stone, metal, glass and other materials.
