Radioactive Isotopes
A radioactive isotope is called to and atom that doesn’t has a stabled nucleus, Atoms with a few too many neutrons, or not quite enough, can sometimes exist for a while, butthey’re unstable. They say that they were thousand of radioactive atoms but only 50 are found naturally which decays until it forms a non-radioactive element. A radioactive isotope is an unstableisotope, they are like that because their nuclei change or decay by spitting out radiation, in the form of particles or electromagnetic waves.  That's not to say that an element can't have more than onestable isotope. Ordinary hydrogen and deuterium are both stable; tin has ten stable isotopes, more than any other element. They there are some elements that don't have any stable isotopes at all.Elements like technetium (Tc) and promethium (Pm), were missing from Mendeleev's original periodic for this reason. All the elements beyond bismuth (atomic number 83) are unstable as well.
Theradioactive isotopes or unstable atoms are used in good ways and bad ways. I mean that some of this ways help us, and other way just affects us in a negative way. Radioactive isotopes can be use medicalgetting into the body for the purpose of imaging, evaluating organ function, or localizing disease or tumors. For example the Iodine-131. This kind of uses of radioactive isotopes befits our societybecause they can find out what does pacient haves and help him or her. But what would happen if these unstable isotopes don’t exist? Would it be a way how to find this kind of diseases before they killedsomeone?.
Radioactive isotopes can be used to help understand chemical and biological processes in plants. Radioisotopes are chemically identical with other isotopes of the same element and will besubstituted in chemical reactions and radioactive forms of the element can be easily detected with a Geiger counter or other such device. “Example:
A solution of phosphate, containing radioactive...
