“Thinking Globally, Acting Personally”

According to Wikipedia, “Sustainability is the capacity to endure. For humans, sustainability is the long-term maintenance of well being, which hasenvironmental, economic, and social dimensions, and encompasses the concept of stewardship, the responsible management of resource use.”
The main focus of this mini project is examining my personal behaviorwith respect to practicing sustainability in an appropriated and productive way to help support our environment as well as break negative habits and misconceptions about the matter of the subject.Throughout the course of the years and the beginning of the twenty first century, one of the biggest topics in to our modern society has been and still is the causes and effects of global warming do tothe lack of effort of our governments as well as everyone of us failing to maintain the sustainability of our ecosystem. Huge numbers of organizations have been created all over the world to discussand inform about the matter of the situation. Moreover, educational institutions and public figures have also taken their time raising awareness in regard to the important of maintaining a stableecosystem. But, it doesn’t seem to be enough. The temperature of our planet it’s still increasing as well as numerous species at the edge of extinction.
I personally believe that we don’t need to waitfor governments or organizations to find a solution when in reality everything we need is on our own hands, starting by educating ourselves about the matter of the situation as well as adopting goodhabits trying to live a more responsible lifestyle towards our environment. Although I support the importance of living on a much more stable ecosystem I have to recognize and admit that I have somenegative behaviors towards our environment. When I'm at home, I tend to abuse the use of electrical energy and usually leave my electronics on stand by when I’m not home. I tend to leave my cell phone...
