My strange experience
I would like to speak about a strange experience that I had a few months ago.
I am a second year student of teacher`s training and I was sent to a school for three weeksteaching practise. I was really excited as this was my first opportunity to be in a class as an assistant teacher and not as a pupil.
I arrived early at the school and was introduced to some of theteachers who worked there.
Next, I had to accompany one of the teachers to her class and I followed her along the corridor and, at that point, I felt a little nervous.
She opened the classroom door andwhen I entered, I saw thirty little faces all looking at me. The teacher took me to the front of the class and told the children my name.
Suddenly, they all began to laugh and started to point at me ina cruel way. I felt the sweat running down my back and then it began to drop from my forehead onto the floor. It was terrible!
Next, the teacher started to laugh and I felt dizzy and fell down. Atthis moment, the headmistress, the other teachers, the monitors, the gardener, the janitor and the kitchen staff appeared and laughed too. I was afraid and was lying on the floor and everyone thoughtthat it was very funny!
Just then, I woke up! It has been a bad dream and I was in bed in my house.
The next day was my first day at school. I arrived nervously and was expecting the worst. However,everyone was really friendly and they made me feel at home immediately.
The time that I spent at the school was wonderful. I learnt so much as the teachers were real professionals and were veryhelpful and gave me so much useful advice. The classes were so well prepared and I realized that teaching is really hard work but a very fulfilling profession.
