WHY INNOVATION CAN CHANGE THE WORLD
A new perspective about how cutting edge technologies could help to eradicate the poverty

The economic crisis is now a worldwide phenomenon. Although thebeginning of this situation could be linked with the speculation in countries like EEUU and Spain and the lack of European governance in the Euro zone, the plague strikes currently a big number of Westcountries. However, third world is also suffering this problem: the dependence of NGOs and rich countries founding leave third world undefended against poverty and famine due the enormous reductions inthe foreign aid budgets. But... what can be doing in order to change this situation? Technology could be the key factor.
It is clear that the recourses consumption is totally unbalanced betweenpoor and rich countries. Nowadays, West is wasting three times their local resources (fount: WWF): energy, oil, and raw materials. So that, we are using the third world resources in order to cope withour demands. Something should change the vicious circle.
New advancements in Energy consumption reduction are showing fantastic results. Hybrid cars could reduce almost 50% of oil consumption withreduces also our dependence of no democratic countries like Arabia Saudi, Arabian Emirates or Iran. In the near future, the hydrogen car could totally cut our oil dependence. In addition, green energieslike wind farms and solar panels are becoming more profitable thanks to technological advancements. Currently, new gadgets are including power reduction solutions which helps the user not only savecosts but also protect the world against the global warming.
In that sense, Internet could collaborate also. Thanks to internet, tele-education, telemedicine and telework are real ways to reduceunnecessary transportation and energy consumption.
