1. Problem definition.
Everyone who have work with electronic componentsknow that a constant resistor,
in this case a carbon film resistor, have a certain range of accuracy, but is really
difficult to find a resistor that have exactly the same resistance as manufacturersays.
I am going to analyze 30 carbon film resistors of 1kohm and a manufacturing
tolerance of 5% (as cover page). I will take in account the possible multimeter error
and the temperaturecoefficient of the resistors.
I will measure the resistance at 3 different temp eratures in order to obtain the
temperature coefficient of these resistors.
2. Experiment preparation
I’m going to measurethe resistance of each resistor with a digital multimeter.

In order to do this experiment I measure the resistance at approximate ly 16.9ºC
(temperature of the room),
After that I putthe resistors in the refrigerator for 30 min, at 3.6ºC,
Finally I put in a glass of water at 38.8 ºC

3. Experimental results
Measurement at room temperature 16.9ºC, was quite simple,...
