Matty: Hello, Joe.
Joe: Hi, how are you?
Matty: I’m not that good. It’s time for me to decide what I want to work on, but my expectations are different from my father’s.
Joe: What doyou mean?
Matty: I know you’re my friend, so you can keep the secret. I’ve always wanted to work with animals, so I want to get a job in a farm. But my dad wants me to get a job in ship-building, likehim. He won’t listen to other ideas.
Joe: I’m so sorry! Speaking of your father, I have a question for you. What about the camping? Do your parents say yes or no? We can’t go without you!
Matty:They are very angry because of my dog. They say he has got to go. And that we are too young to go camping.
Matty arriving home….
Mom: Matty! Your dog Nelson has got to go now! Just look at whathe’s done. He tried to eat my hat and your father’s best shoes.
Matty: Mom, I’m so sorry! I know Nelson is not beautiful because of his bad leg and his eye, but I love him.
Matty is angry. He goes for awalk all day. When he comes back…
Matty: Mom! Why are you crying?
Mom: Oh, Matty. It was my fault. The dog was barking all day, so I pushed him out into the street. The man was driving and… I’m sosorry! He died.
