The Kite Runner
“There is a way to be good again”. The Kite Runner, directed by Marc Forster and based on the novel by Khaled Hosseini, tells a story about of family, friendship, mistakesand redemption. Amir is a wealthy kid living in Afghanistan where a war is building up. At the time he is just a kid and his best friend is also his servant, a hazara boy named Hassan. They live theirchildhood with games and laughter until one day after a glorious kite tournament, Amir witnesses something he should not have. Since that moment things between them change forever and they are turnedapart. After 20 years living in America, Amir returns to his natal country, Afghanistan. He has to face the reality of a devastated Afghanistan governed by the harsh rules of the Taliban in his questfor truth and redemption; one last chance to be good again.
