Sexually transmitted disease

Sexually transmitted diseases (STD), are illnesses that have a significant probability of transmission between humans by means of human sexual behavior, including vaginal intercourse, oral sex, and anal sex. However, can also be transmitted by use of contaminated needles or by contact with blood, and some of themcan be transmitted during pregnancy, that is to say, from mother to child.
The risk for these diseases is incremented when the sexual life is practice with:
 * Several people along the life
* Unknown persons
* People with risky sexual activities, such as prostitutes or gigolos
* Persons of unknown her past sexual
 * People who get sores, outbreaks or lesions on his genitals
* Women whohave suffered from dysplasia in the neck of the womb
Most of the sexually transmitted diseases are caused by two types of germs: bacteria and viruses, but some are also caused by fungi and protozoa.
Diseases caused by bacteria:
Gonorrhea
Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted infections more common. The bacterium can grow and multiply easily in warm moist areas of the reproductive tract, includingthe cervix, the uterus and the fallopian tubes in women, and in the urethra in women and in men. This bacteria can also grow in the mouth, throat, eyes, and in the anus.
Symptoms
In the women:
* Unusual vaginal discharge
* unusual vaginal bleeding
* pain in the lower abdomen
The infected woman may have no symptoms or have slight discomfort when urinating or flow.

In theman:

* pain when urinating
* purulent discharge from the urethra

in the male it takes two to three days after sexual contact before any symptoms appear. Gonorrhea can result in infertility when no treatment is applied. The gonorrhea predominates on syphilis and is no less important than this.

Syphilis
Is transmitted when it comes into contact with open wounds of an infectedperson. This disease has several stages:
* Primary Stage: the first symptom is a sore in the part of the body that came into contact with the bacteria. These symptoms are difficult to detect because they usually do not cause pain, and sometimes occur in the interior of the body.
* Secondary Stage: arises around three to six weeks after the sore appears. A rash will appear throughout thebody, in the palms of the hands, soles of the feet, or in some other area. Other possible symptoms are: mild fever, swollen lymph nodes and hair loss.
* Latent stage: there are no noticeable symptoms and the infected person cannot spread to other. However, a third of the people that are in this stage worsen and pass to the tertiary stage of syphilis.
* Tertiary Stage: this stage can causeserious problems such as, for example, mental disorders, blindness, heart abnormalities and neurological disorders. At this stage, the infected person can no longer transmit the bacteria to other people, but continues in an indefinite period of deterioration.

Diseases caused by fungi

Candidiasis

This fungus we are all from birth. This in various parts of our body, such as the skin,stomach, colon, rectum, the genitals, mouth and the throat is a disease that attacks the genital organs, very common in women in which the discomfort increased with exercise, sexual intercourse and menstruation; in addition to being very common in pregnancy.

Symptoms

In the women:

* itching and a burning sensation or burning in the affectedarea
* redness and sometimes a pain ardent

In the man:
