The operative system is the mostimportant program of a computer that takes absolute control of both hardware and software. All computers have an operative system
Some main functions can be that it interprets and executes theinstructions throught the interface that provides to the user, it optimizes communication between input and output devices, it coordinates the processing of tasks, it provides diagnostic errors of the basicparts of the computer, it serves as a connection to run the application software.
The hawdware of the computer does not perform nothing by itself, it requires software and then the operative systemdoes his thing. The hirst program installed in the computer is the operative system through a process of installation and configuration; at the moment to turn on the comuter, this is loaded into memoryand is prepared to receive orders from the user.
There are different operative systems installed in the computers, some of them are Windows, UNIX and LINUX.
The operative system has classifications* Multiuser: lets 2 or more people to execute programs at the same time
* Multitask: lets 2 or more programs be executed at the same time.
* Multiprocessing: it permits the execution of aprogram in more than one CPU
The interface is the communication means through which the user interacts with the software.
Command line interface: The operative system provides a command line inwhich the user introduces the instructions or commands formed by characters. The commands are instructions or orders given from the keyboard with a proper syntax of the interface
