Suistanable energy
This subject is important for us because involve our lives and the future of the Earth so we have chosen this subject to show people how significant it is.

Energy consumption inSpain
In Spain the use of sustainable energy has increased in the last years, but the population has grown, too. The biomass energy has become very important; in fact it is the most important. Thischart also shows us that the solar thermal energy has appeared in the last two or three years. The Wind energy is also very present in our lives.

Wind Energy
Winds are caused by the uneven heatingof the atmosphere by the sun, the irregularities of the earth's surface, and rotation of the earth. Wind flow patterns are modified by the earth's terrain, bodies of water, and vegetative cover. Thiswind flow, or motion energy, when "harvested" by modern wind turbines, can be used to generate electricity. The terms "wind energy" or "wind power" describe the process by which

the wind is usedto generate mechanical power or electricity. Wind turbines convert the kinetic energy in the wind into mechanical power. This mechanical power can be used for specific tasks (such as grinding grain orpumping water) or a generator can convert this mechanical
power into electricity to power homes, businesses, schools, and the like. In consequence some good points of it are that:

Comes indirectlyfrom the sun, which warms the air and causes the wind.

Is renewed continuously. It is inexhaustible. It's clean. Don't pollute. It is indigenous and universal. It's becoming cheaper as technologyadvances. It allows development without plunder nature, respecting the environment. The Installations are easily reversible.
It also has some disadvantages:

The visual impact, the installationcreates a high modification of the landscape. The impact on birds. The impact sound is the rubbing of the blades with the air produces a constant noise, the nearest house must be at least 200 meters....
