SUSTRATOS PARA GERMINACION

Un sustrato es todo material sólido distinto del suelo,natural, de síntesis o residual, mineral u orgánico, que, colocado en un contenedor, en forma pura o en mezcla, permite el anclaje del sistema radicular de la planta, desempeñando, por tanto, un papel de soporte para la planta. El sustrato puede intervenir o no en el complejo proceso de la nutrición mineral de la planta

TIPOS DE SUSTRATOS
Existen diferentes criterios de clasificación de lossustratos, basados en el origen de los materiales, su naturaleza, sus propiedades, su capacidad de degradación, etc.

Según sus propiedades.
* Sustratos químicamente inertes. Arena granítica o silícea, grava, roca volcánica, perlita, arcilla expandida, lana de roca, etc.
* Sustratos químicamente activos. Turbas rubias y negras, corteza de pino, vermiculita, materiales ligno-celulósicos, etc....
