Swan Lake

‘‘Swan Lake’’
Two weeks ago, I read the literary work of Swan Lake.
This story tells about the life of a beautiful young girl called Odette.
The story begins when Odette meets PrinceSifrido in the lake, where she tells him that was transformed into a swan with her friends by the evil wizard Rothbart and returning to human form only at night and can only break the spell whoswears eternal love.
They fall in love quickly. When Siegfried will swear eternal love to Odette appears Rothbart, who makes to Odette became a swan again, to prevent the prince breaks thespell.
Before she left, Siegfried tells her to never see her again because he can’t swear eternal love to a bird.
Then, it celebrates the feast in the castle where Siegfried must choose a wife.He thinks in Odette, he refuses to choose wife and his mother is angry with him.
At that moment the master of ceremonies announces the arrival of an unknown nobleman and his daughter. BaronRothbart is coming to the party with his daughter Odile. The prince, charmed by the wizard, he believes sees Odette on Odile.
He chose as his wife, the queen mother accepts and Siegfried swearseternal love to Odile. Rothbart is discovered and shown to Odette in the distance.

Siegfried realizes his terrible mistake and desperate run to the lake.

On the shores of the lake-swangirls sadly await the arrival of Odette. She arrives desperate crying, telling her friends the sad events of the festival in the castle. Siegfried appears and implores forgiveness. Rothbartreappears demanding the return of the swans. Siegfried and Odette are fighting against him, but all in vain because the spell can’t be undone.

The two lovers are thrown into the lake.Rothbart dies as a result of that sacrifice of love and the other swans are freed from the spell. At the end of history can be seen on the lake the spirits of Odette and Siegfried together forever.
