SWOT Analysis


INTRODUCTION

The purpose of the following investigation is to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) of an institution by asking for the SWOT analysis and doing some surveys to the teachers and parents of the school.
This investigation was developed in a public school located in Turrialba, Cartago belonging to the Circuito 02. The name of theschool is Escuela Laboratorio UCR -MEP Turrialba and was founded in 1990. Its principal is Vanessa Salazar.
The school is inside of the Universidad de Costa Rica and next to the Liceo Experimental Bilingüe de Turrialba both are a result of an agreement between the Ministerio de Educación Pública (MEP) and Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR); because of that, the school has to share somefacilities with the high school.
The Escuela Laboratorio has 7 classrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 cafeteria, 1 butterfly farm, and an orchard.
At the end of the investigation, it has possible solutions to some problems of the institution that the school can take into account.
