"The thanksgiving celebration at home"


Thanksgiving is a traditional celebration in the United States on the last thursday of November every year.The purpose
of thesecelebration is to gather and thanks God for all the good things we received during the year. When thanksgiving
day is near my family and I divide akk the duties in order to geteverything ready for that day.

We need to be sure to have all the items for that day in order to avoid any hurry that day. First, my mother goes to the
supermarket andbuys the turkey, vegetables, and all what we need for the celebration. Second, my sister starts starts
preparing the dessert we used to eat in this special celebration, Third,she bakes the "torta" for the "tres leche"
when the "torta" is ready she puts milk on it and finish decorating the "tres leche". That morning since I woke up,
I startpreparing the table with a special cutterly and tablecloth.

When the celebration time is coming, we star by waiting for our special guests, family members or friends. After thatwe prepare for the dinner, praying. We thanks God for all the good things that we received during the year and we
start eating the delicious turkey that my mother cooked,served with arab rice, mashpottatoes, salad, ham, etc.

At the end of the dinner, we stay inn the table or living room and we talk a lot about any random topic,
near 10:00 P.Mthe members of my family that want to go shopping go to the malls ad wait for midnight because
almost all the stores open at that time due to black friday, this day themajority of stores offer 50% off
in all the articles.

Thanksgiving is a celebration that is growing around the world. This is the way that my family and I
celebrate this day.
