Drug trafficking is an activity that moves billions of dollars, claiming thousands of lives worldwide every year. Moreover, organizedcrime has proved itself to be able to achieve great coordination and have the facility to reorganize and regenerate its structure after every strike given to its operations, both in France and in othercountries. However, it is well known that most of the drugs come from countries from South America and Asia, a fact that can be corroborated by UNODC’s World Drug Report 2012. Our delegation proposesto fight this problem from its roots and to collaborate directly with these countries, offering equipment and human and monetary assistance. The more support this initiative gets, the less fundingwould be required per country and the more effective the strategy would be. Drug trafficking is usually linked closely with the arms trade, which is the last issue we want to discuss.
