RESUMEN

No todos los docentes de inglés se han actualizado en métodos activos y en ciertos casos desconocen formas y procedimientos sobre aplicación de técnicas de enseñanza para potencializar las destrezas comunicativas, muchos si dictan sus clases y no permiten la participación activa y creativa del estudiante, ocasionando que losalumnos muestren poco interés en aprender el idioma extranjero lo que deriva en la dificultad del aprendizaje del idioma tanto en forma oral y escrita.
Ante este panorama no se está desarrollando la enseñanza del idioma inglés bajo el método comunicativo lo cual ha provocado un bajo nivel en el aprendizaje del Idioma Inglés
En esta línea de acción se llevó a cabo el trabajo deinvestigación a través de la investigación de estrategias cognitivas, la que consiste en un conjunto de operaciones y procedimientos que el estudiante utiliza para obtener, retener, evocar y ejecutar diversos tipos de conocimientos, estas estrategias se complementan con las estrategias de aprendizaje, las que desarrollan las capacidades comunicativas del inglés en los estudiantes del 5to grado delnivel secundario de la Institución Educativa “Alas Peruanas” de Ica, todas estas acciones fueron desarrolladas, las mismas que facilitaron la obtención de resultados positivos en alcanzar las metas propuestas.
La utilización de estrategias cognitivas es un recurso valioso, que contempla una estructura técnica de fácil comprensión, con lenguaje sencillo que facilite el trabajo docente y se logre unaprendizaje significativo para el estudiante

ABSTRACT

Not all the english teachers have been atended any courses about active methods and at any part of their teaching activities they do not know any forms or processes about how to useteaching techniques to increase the communicative abilities , some of them dictate their classes but do not accept the active and creative participation of the student, getting less interest and participation of the students, so in this way the students show less interest in learning the new language “English” so this is the result of learning English, in both forms oral and written.
Soonce again I can say that the teaching of English as a second language is not developing using the communicative method.
After knowing this I decided to work in this Investigation about cognitive strategies, it consists in a group of procediments and operations that the students use to get, maintain ,relate ,and do different types of knowledge, these strategies work together with the learningstrategies, that are the ones that develop the communicative capacities of English in the students of 5th grade, secondary level of the Educative Institution “Alas Peruanas” of Ica, all of these actions were developed, the same that facilitated to get positive result to get the goal I planned.
The use of Cognitive Strategies are important and useful resources that have a technical structure ofan easy comprehension, this facilitates the work of the teachers they can choose which strategies they have to select to help the students to develop their own approach to language learning allowing them to direct their success.
