Getting Started with VM
1. Download the VMWare Player 2.5.2 and above from internet and install it.
2. Download the VM from here.
3. Start the VM player and open theVM just downloaded. Access the console
4. From the VMPlayer menu. Select Network->HostOnly . Then select “Connect”

5. Find your VMs IP address
a. Access the consoleb. $ /sbin/ifconfig
c. note the IP address shown
6. Add the entry for the VM machine in your windows hosts file.
a. Open the filec:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
b. Add entry vmowcr1
Starting and Stopping the Infrastructure pieces
1. Start, Stop Database
Run the commands in following order
a. $ su - oracleb. $ source /u01/app/oracle/product/ora11gDB/owcdb01.env
c. $lsnrctl start
d. $ sqlplus "/ as sysdba"
e. $ SQL > startup
f. $ SQL > exit
2. Start up...
