The education needs a way for knowing how to teach, for that reason it was created “The Curriculum”, we can call it: the bible of teachers. The curriculum is the base or a guide in theclassroom or also, an aid for the teacher has skills in all the areas.

The curriculum calls our attention, to the search for answer that can improve our education, as I said the curriculum is aneed to give positive gun to the teacher, and that he be able to fight to the current. It has been proposed curriculum as a conjunction between what should be and what it is, that is, between theory andpractice, between what our culture teaches us and what we demand of society.

To understand in a better way, we must know that is curriculum? Many authors have given a definition that helps us tounderstand as a whole.

• Gonzalez and Flores (1999) say: the term Curriculum exited as conceptualizations that define it as formulation of plan ofstudy in the institution.
• Furlan (1996) presents us with this: a strong sense curriculum is a project of transformation of academic activity that aims to be totalizing.
Then, we can summarize thatcurriculum is a set of core competencies, objectives, content, methodology and evaluation criteria that students must achieve a certain educational level. And the curriculum responds to the questionswhat to teach, how to teach? When to teach? And what, how and when to evaluate?
The term curriculum was born in the changing needs of society, in this case, we speak historically of American societyof the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, and where the need to make education the means by which American society reigned is constituted as a nation.
