The Sign Of Four
The Sign of Four is a crime novel featuring the globally famous character, Sherlock Holmes, a private detective, who in thisoccasion helps Miss. Mary Morstan to find the truth about his father death and the Great Agra Treasure. This exciting book was written in 1890 by SirConan Doyle who is one of the most important British writers.
The story, in our opinion is perfectly placed in the England of that time and is writtenin a way that you can not stop reading until you reach the end. You bite your nails numerous times, from the time of the chasing down the criminalsthrough the use of a dog to a thrilling boat chase. More than a century since it was written the book continues shining and causing excitement inpeople of all ages and cultures who have the opportunity to enjoy a so entertaining book.
Although it’s a short story, we strongly believe that you keepreading the book till the end, but one thing that we we were disappointed with was the end of the story . We were waiting for the main characters todiscover where the Great Agra Treasure finally was, and to finish the story with the loss of the treasure, wasn’t what we expected. We genuinelythought that Miss Morstan would find the treasure and keep it.
To sum up, we believe that although the bit disappointing ending of the book, this storywill keep everybody who reads it wanting more and if you are a fan of crime fiction, you absolutely cannot miss of reading this truly literature classic.
