Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)
He was the author of the declaration of independence, most people think that Thomas Jefferson did nothing on his writing career but he helpedthe United States of America to become a free country, and he got to serve as the third president of the United States of America. Jefferson founded the University ofVirginia, helped to establish the public school system that now days is very common in all the governments and country’s all over the world, he invented a system that is verypopular now days, it was a type of elevator for sending food from floor to floor, he created the decimal system for American money. As we can see Thomas was a very creativeperson that could make many things that we use often right now.

He also was consider a very good leader he attended to college where he was a very good student, he earned alaw degree, while at the same time he was serving in the Virginia House of American rights, Jefferson became an outspoken defender between the colonists and the Britisherupted into revolution, Thomas was a very influenced leader that provided a lot of help to win the independence.

When the war for the independence finished Jefferson servedas the American minister for France for some years. Later he got the job to serve as the nations first secretary of state and a second vice president before becoming thepresident in 1801, being the third president of the United States of America.

When he still was a president of the United States of America he expanded the nation by buyingthe Louisiana Territory from France. On July 4, 1826 being this the fiftieth anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, a declaration that he wrote the most of it.
