To Kill A Mocking Bird
I hope you are ok, after all the problems last dreary winter night with the fire and everything I think we are lucky thatwe survived great perils, and I am really sorry about your house collapse because we didn’t quell the fire, but in my defense we both knew itwas a feeble house, I hope that we have a placidly night, still I am going to be in a vigil state. Anyway, I am sure you remember that I told youabout Boo Radley last night. The kids think that he is doing these things with a malevolent purpose, but I think that he is just not a guy withan amiable personality, and the things that he is doing, like the blanket with Scout last night (by the way it took me a while to assuage herafter the blanket event), are attempts to socialize. The kids also imagine him in a caricature way rather than in a realistic, which makes itscarier, but you know they are kids. (Excuse my erratic spelling by the way.) Anyway I have been meaning to tell you about my legal case with TomRobinson, and sincerely I don’t think that this is going to end in an auspicious way, so you can tell that I am not in a jubilant mood right now.Another bad thing is that people is starting to talk, about me being a nigger lover and all, I know that such an idea is still unfathomable forScout, but Jem seems to have a tacit understanding about this topic; so I am asking for your help. What should I do?
Sincerely Atticus
