TOKYO, JAPAN
Geography: Tokyo is the capital of Japan, the placed in the South of Honshu's island, on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, constitutes the most important urban agglomeration of the country, Is the first world city for the number of habitants. Besides being the capital, Tokyo is the economic and political center of Japan. One of the characteristics of an urban modern center, of streetsfurrowed of skyscraper, and the traditional elements of more than 400 years of history. His historical name is Edo.
Climate: Tokyo possesses a moderate climate, with a relative dampness of 63 %. Approximately 45 % of the year is of rainy days, 40 % is of cloudy days, 10 % is of clear days, and the rest of covered with snow days. The everage temperature in winter is of 4 °C with occasionalsnowfalls, and in summer it is of 24 °C.
Transport: Public transportation is based primarily intra urban rail network in the metro. Combined, more than 70 lines meet, forming the most extensive urban railway network in the world. This form of transport is the most used by the inhabitants of Tokyo, with 20 million passengers daily estimates, and more than a thousand stations.
The Tokyo Metro, the onlyfully automated world, the backbone of transport in the city, is the fourth largest in the world due to its size and to travel daily volume, the most widely used, with 2.800 (tutausent eigt handred)million annual users.
Culture: Most of the population of Tokyo is a Buddhist. Many of the temples Buddhists are in province, though the inhabitants of Tokyo go to these temples only in very specialceremonies like weddings and funeral, prefer to practice their religious ceremonies at home. Many of the residences are furnished to the Japanese style. Most of the people uses western gowns in his daily life. Some more elderly persons in the main women use the kimono, a traditional Japanese clothes. The traditional Japanese dresses only are used, generally, in days or special events. The languageis a very special characteristic in the Japanese culture, is the existence of levels or styles in the speech of agreement with the situation since they are: ordinary language, humble language or honourable language depending on the degree of respect towards the person the person in question, but it is necessary to have an absolute domain of the language to apply this differentiation.
Thedifferences in the modes of communication between men and women simply it differs in the respect, the women feel an absolute respect to the Man. It is a very serious lack to say not in some circumstances, as an invitation to have dinner or to eat, to taking part in a meeting, to taking a coffee or even to going to a karaoke.
Entertainment: It includes an extensive collection of music, movies, the videogames and a great industry concentrated in manga (cómic Japanese) and anime (Japanese cartoon), own of the country and that have had a great world acceptance. Another form of Japanese entertainment known globally is the karaoke that consists in that a fond singer sings a song without vocalization and whose letter appears on a screen, in order that the singer could read it.
Many of the traditionalJapanese games are for children such as Kagome Kagome or jankenpon (known as Rock-Paper-Scissors), though also there are games of letters as the hanafuda and menko plays on words as the henohenomoheji that is a game of palindromes phrases. Nevertheless, the board games are those that more emphasize, such as the go (original of China), a game of strategy with cards and the shogi, which is aJapanese variant of the chess.
